About Us

A trade learned on scaffolding,
not in a classroom.

The Story

Forty years, one trade

Pat started bricklaying in 1984. For over a decade before the business was ever formally registered, the work spoke for itself — passed job to job, mostly by word of mouth from one satisfied customer to the next. MMA Construction was incorporated in 2005, putting a name and a company number to work that had already been going on for twenty years.

That history matters on site. Bricklaying rewards experience in ways that are hard to fake: knowing how a wall will weather, how to match a course of reclaimed brick, how to set out a chimney stack so the flues sit true. It's a trade of small decisions, repeated correctly, thousands of times over.

The Approach

Traditional methods, properly finished

MMA Construction takes on the brickwork that separates a good bricklayer from an average one: multi-flue chimney stacks with banding and pot detailing, herringbone and diaper-pattern brick infill, and period matching on extensions to existing houses. It's the sort of work you can see from the street, and it's the sort of work Pat has always taken the most pride in.

Every job, large or small, gets the same attention: square walls, consistent coursing, clean pointing, and a finish that still looks right in twenty years' time.
